Donation Draw 2010

Hi Brothers and Sisters

Hope you had an enjoyable camp experience!!!

So, anyway as you guys and girls know in order to subsidise course fee and purchase new equipment for the unit, we have to work hard for donation draw.

Our target earnings is $10, 000. In order to find out what motivates you guys, I will need you guys and girls to complete a survey. It takes about 3 minutes to complete. Just click on the link Click here to take survey to complete the survey.

This is also the best and the only opportunity in a year for you to earn your squirrel badge.

The following are requirement for you to earn your squirrel badge:
Merit - At least 10 booklets & above
Bronze - At least 15 booklets & above
Sliver - At least 20 booklets & above
Gold - At least 30 booklets & above

Bonus: For those who sells more than 60 booklets, ONEIDA SCOUT GROUP will sponsor half of what you have to pay for the Singapore Jamboree 2010!!!

For those who have yet to collect their Donation Draw tickets, please come down between 12pm - 2pm to the following venue to collect your donation draw tickets:

Scout Rally!

SCOUT RALLY 2010
ON SATURDAY 22 MAY (1430 HRS - 1800 HRS)
@ HWA CHONG INSTITUTION

Dear Scouts,

The Scout Rally 2010 is the next mega event to celebrate 100th Anniversary of the Scout Movement in Singapore. It is scheduled on Saturday 22 May 2010 from 1430 hrs to 1800 hrs at the Hwa Chong Institution. We are honoured that Mr Teo Chee Hean, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence, is the Guest of Honor to grace the occasion.

For $5 registration fee, a participant gets to bring at least a family member or friend. Receive a complimentary centenary scarf for 1st accompanying person only, a commemorative event badge, a bottled drink and a coupon for stall activities.

Scouting Names

Let's congratulate our Ventures for receiving their Scouting Names.

Rainmakers keep peace and tranquillity possible in the Red Indian Tribe. They are associated with the proper harvesting of food crops. They are often referred to as medicine men that are consulted in times of crisis. They form part of the elders who sees to the growth of the young ones in the tribe and to further the traditions through them.

--

Whistling warrior as the name suggests are the brave hunters that lead the pack and keep hunters in pace for the kill. They are the first to arrive at the scene of the animals grazing and the first to give signal for the execution of a hunt. They organize hunting parties with commands and takes pride in the successes of each hunt for the tribe.

Star Dancers are very active and motivated ladies of the tribe. They bring lots of entertainment and happiness in tribal fires and ceremonies and they are the heart of the tribe.

Sky spirit forms part of the elders of the tribe that often questions the meaning of life among the tribes and the meaning of certain traditions. They are inquisitive, curious and calm. They often always make sense of every traditions and ceremonies.

Besides that, our Venture Unit has 2 new members to join the family! Let's welcome, Thomas and Phiranthorn!
